LGUTEF has obtained an umbrella accreditation (except for ethics) for the Certified Financial Planning Board for member seminars using the National Income Tax Workbook-16 hours; Agricultural Tax Issues-8 hour programs; and Agricultural Tax Issues-4 hour programs.
See file below for a template to be used to report CFP attendance. It is highly encouraged that CFP ID information be collected at time of registration due to the new 14 day reporting requirement.
Also provided is an “at the door” form for CFP sign-ups. Do not use this form for reporting names and numbers. Use the Excel template so that all proper information is provided. ONLY CFP registrants will receive credits. The CFP Board does not award partial credit. If a participant does not complete a program, that participant will need to write a letter to the CFP Board requesting partial credit.
States have different requirements for certification for accountants, attorneys, insurance professionals, and real estate professionals, so member’s seminar coordinators will need to contact their respective state regulatory agencies for certification requirements. LGUTEF does not obtain state accreditation for members’ seminars.
The National Income Tax workbook meets the need for IRS enrolled agents and PTIN holders; however, member schools must obtain their own accreditation for IRS Enrolled Agents’ CE and PTIN CE.
